Joanna Torre is a Physician Assistant with diverse experience in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She is of Chamorro ancestry and grew up on the Pacific island of Guam. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology, at the University of Guam, and later graduated from USC School of Medicine as a Physician Assistant.

Her medical career began at FHP Long Beach in Geriatric Medicine and Orthopedics. She later returned to Guam to give back to the island community in Family Practice with FHP Guam. Joanna furthered her career by relocating to Hawaii then southern California to practice with Kaiser Permanente in the Department of Orthopedics. She assisted in total joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, shoulder rotator cuff repairs and postop care management.

Ms. Torre was commissioned to the 1984th Army Hospital Unit assigned to Triple Army Medical Center in Sept 2000. She received orders for deployment to Iraq, 2004 - 2005. Her mission was post deployment health evaluations of soldiers returning home however, Captain Torre volunteered to organize and manage an Orthopedic triage clinic for acute field injuries. Captain Torre resigned her commission after 10 years from the U.S. Army. Joanna later resumed orthopedic practice complemented in multifunctional medicine, correctional medicine, and pain management. She completed certification courses and perfected trigger point and ultrasound guided joint injections with other non-pharmaceutical treatment modalities for musculoskeletal pain. Joanna Torre offers her expertise to our Salinas patients guiding them back to movement an improved quality of life!
