About Dr. Samarth

Board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician Amruta Samarth, MD, brings extensive experience treating traumatic brain injuries and chronic pain, and performing post-stroke rehabilitation, to RehabOne Medical Group’s Los Gatos, California, office.

Dr. Samarth completed her medical education at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she excelled in residency training. While on staff, Dr. Samarth earned the prestigious Oliver R. Smith MD Award for outstanding resident. 

After finishing her residency training, Dr. Samarth moved to Indianapolis, accepting a position as medical director of transplant rehab at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana. A few years later, she returned to Texas, serving at TIRR Memorial Hermann hospital in Houston. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Samarth has worked with medically complex patients, including recipients of organ transplants and victims of traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and amputations.

At RehabOne Medical Group, Dr. Samarth helps men and women who live with musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain. She also specializes in spasticity management and rehabilitation after stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury.
