Our Patients’ Successes!

In the beginning, Edna had isolated herself so much she was afraid to start the program, afraid to participate in the classes throughout the day, and even afraid to socially join the group.  She explained that when she first got to our FRP program she had no idea that aside from sleep and medication, there were things she could actually do to control her pain and pain flares.  She began to develop relationships with her peers and with our staff and practiced what she was taught throughout the week and weekend with a hopeful attitude.

When Wolfe started our program, he was using a “mobi-leg” (crutch type of walking assistance) and was unable to walk for recreation, nor was he able to complete many ADLs.  He worked on his program, and got frustrated with us, but kept coming.  Workers comp denied our request for additional sessions, but after our appeal, Wolfe’s treatment was authorized and he continued.  In his last week he made tremendous progress and now takes walks without his “mobi-leg” and is able to complete many ADLs that were previously unimaginable.
